  steve2 one question on 1799. I remember vividly around 2005 or so at a book study it was brought out that The last days did not begin in 1799. Why the clarification in the early 2000's if this teaching was done away with in the mid 1930's? To be honest being a born-in and over 50 years old at the time I never knew about this teaching until it was brought at the book study. Still Totally ADD

  Falcon Heavy

  the falcon heavy is set to launch today.

  if successful, it will become the most powerful rocket in use (twice as powerful as the delta heavy).. as it's the very first attempt, elon musk has said he thinks there's a 50/50 chance of it not blowing up.

  so should be interesting.

  Outahere I understand your point and in many ways I feel that way but is this not a defeates attitude? The same greed and hate will follow human kind out into the stars. Will that not still cause the same problems elsewhere on a another planet? Just thinking. Still Totally ADD

  Simon I have to agree with you on this one point that we need to be more interested in taking care of this planet and not worry so much about colonizing Mars. It makes me sad to say that because I love the space program. I always hope to go into space but I am to old now. But many helpful things have come about because of it and our understanding of Earth has been valuable.

  You got to admit watching those two booster rockets landing up right was pretty neat to see. To bad the main booster didn't make it. Watching it take off and the boosters landing was very exciting. It seems humankind is always looking for greener grass on the other side of the fence instead of taking care of the pasture they live on. Live long and prosper. Still Totally ADD

  i can’t prove i am a better person because of it , but in some ways i can prove how it has damaged me.

  Is Trump Doing Better Than You Thought As President!

  i know that some here detested him while others may have simply accepted the reality of who is president.. do you think he is better than you might have thought as a president?.

  For 84 months jobs have gone up. 12 for Trump. This would have happened with or without him. Everything goes in cycles when it comes to the economy. By the way presidents don't create jobs businesses do. He has manage to become the best distractor I have ever seen. Everyone who is investigating the Russian connection are mostly Republicans. But to hear him say it and his minions it's this great plot to take him down by the other side. The only question I would like to have answered is. If he is innocent why is he trying to discredit those looking into this? Please don't tell me it's Hillary lovers doing this or the FBI is corrupt. Just a year ago the Republicans was talking about how great they are. Comey did many things that caused her to lose the election plus she was not a good candidate but Trump had Comey fired.

  From the day he started running for president I saw criminal intent in his thinking. But then again he came from a family of criminals. I just got out of a cult and I hate seeing this nation becoming a world cult of trump. Again I feel both sides need to look long and hard to answer the question. Are they serving the people of this nation or the billionaires who paid for them to get elected? So far all I have seen is billionaires rule while the rest of us drool. You may have more in your paycheck now but don't worry in a few years that will change.

  Like all economic cycles this one will end. For better but most likely for the worse. History has proven that is true. Bad mouthing either side is childish let's start talking like adults and come up with real meaning to these conversations. Maybe all of us will get a better understanding of what's going on.   just wondering if anyone has gone back to a meeting out of curiosity?

  (perhaps to an area far from your old khall where you know no one).

  with all the changes from 2012 onwards (videos, tv screens, new meeting format, new songs etc) it would be an odd experience to be in attendance!.

  it's from the november 1st, 1947 watchtower, p.336.

  essentially, this is what started the doctrine that you couldn't divorce your spouse if he/she cheated on you with another member of the same sex.. this ended in 1972 with another wt article.

  I know this to be true. Back I 1971 a sister in our congregation husband was having a gay affair. She went to the elders and ask them if she could scripturally divorce him they called the wt. for the answer. They said gay sex by your spouse is now grounds for a scriptural divorce. He was the head of the house and she has to stay with him. I was a teenager at the time and I could see this did not make sense. Still Totally ADD

  Anyone watching Star Trek Discovery?

  so i've been watching the show and really enjoying it.

  great to see a trek tv series finally get a reasonable budget.

  beautiful costumes, sets, cinematography, action pieces, etc.. really my only complaints are how cg all the ships look and there's a fair bit of stiff dialog from time to time.. what do you guys think of the show?.

  Joe and Nancy my wife and I also like the Orville. The last episode of the season was very thought provoking about how religion is part of our evolution and in the future humans will evolve past it. ☺ Still Totally ADD
